Through UTIITSL Portal




The UTIITSL portal is another official website where you can apply for a new PAN or make changes in your existing PAN details. To apply for an e-PAN card through the UTIITSL portal, follow these steps:

Through Aadhaar-based Instant e-PAN Service




The income tax e-filing portal also offers an Aadhaar-based instant e-PAN service for those who do not have a PAN card. This service is free of cost and provides an e-PAN card within 10 minutes. To apply for an e-PAN card through this service, follow these steps:

  • Select 'Instant PAN through Aadhaar' under 'Quick Links'.



  • Click on 'Get New PAN'.



  • Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code and click on 'Generate OTP'.



  • Enter the OTP received on your mobile number and click on 'Validate'.



  • Confirm your Aadhaar details and email id and click on 'Submit'.



  • After successful submission, you will receive an acknowledgement number and a link to download your e-PAN card on your email id.



How to Download e-PAN Card?




You can download your e-PAN card from any of the portals mentioned above, depending on where you applied for it. Here are the steps to download your e-PAN card:


Through NSDL Portal




To download your e-PAN card from the NSDL portal, you need to have your acknowledgement number or PAN number and date of birth. The steps are different for PANs allotted in the last 30 days and PANs allotted prior to 30 days.


For PANs allotted in last 30 days





  • Go to



  • Enter your acknowledgement number or PAN number and date of birth and click on 'Submit'.



  • You will see the status of your application and a link to download your e-PAN card.



  • Click on the link and enter the OTP received on your mobile number or email id and click on 'Validate'.



  • You will be able to download your e-PAN card in PDF format.



For PANs allotted prior to 30 days





  • Go to

  • Enter your PAN number and date of birth and click on 'Submit'.

Through UTIITSL Portal




To download your e-PAN card from the UTIITSL portal, you need to have your application coupon number or PAN number and date of birth. The steps are different for PANs allotted in the last 30 days and PANs allotted prior to 30 days.


For PANs allotted in last 30 days

  • You will see the status of your application and a link to download your e-PAN card.
